Sai Chandhok Group was founded in the year 1974 in London, UK by Captain Vijay Chandhok, professionally qualified, with over forty five year's experience in shipping industry. Our principal activities being concentrated in ship-broking, dry bulk, liquid bulk, sale & purchase of new buildings, second-hand tonnages and demolitions tonnages.

Presently we are actively involved in shipbroking of dry bulk, liquid bulk and sale & purchase of new building, second hand tonnages of all types and sizes. We are mainly working with our direct ship-owners or their in house exclusive brokers.Similarly we are working with direct charterers, commodity trading houses world wide.

In the past, we have been ship-owners of five Handymax bulk carriers, ship-manager of four tankers. As ship-operators. We operated Handymax, Supramx, Panamaxare size bulk carriers. Occasionally baby cape size vessel. Mainly traded them for bulk minerals export from India to Far East, South East Asia. We have been involved in business with renowned direct mine owners, commodity trader world wide. Captain Vijay Chandhok is qualified admiralty arbitrator.

We have been actively in cash buying of demolition tonnages, which were sold to Indian ship-breakers in Alang west coast of India. as government of India eased the foreign exchange regulation we sold last demolition vessel in the year 2000.
